"My car runs great, but it looks awful! Can you really get a good paint job these days?"
Paintmaster originally opened it's doors in 1976 to provide a resounding "YES" to just that question. And now, in the 21st century, more than ever we are the answer to Tulsa's vehicle painting needs.
"My car's been in a wreck. Can I get the whole thing painted?"
Again, "YES". Paintmaster is uniquely equipped to perform the collision repairs your auto needs AND to totally repaint the entire vehicle. Most insurance will not pay for painting the whole car but often the difference is not very much. How much extra, if any, it will cost for the complete repaint depends on the condition of your vehicle and the paint quality you want. Let Paintmaster Collision help you through the process.
We've been painting cars, trucks, vans, and just about anything with wheels since 1976. We've seen a lot of auto painting shops come and go in that time, and we've outlasted them all. We've also seen a lot of change in paint. Some changes, mandated by the EPA, had environmental benefits. Other changes benefited the consumer directly, providing improvements in quality and durability. Paintmaster has kept up with the changes to be able to paint your vehicle with the latest in refinishing technologies while utilizing environmentally friendly procedures and materials.
GOOD - Enamel - Our least expensive paint service uses Sherwin Williams enamel paint with an integrated urethane clearcoat providing a balance between cost and durability. We suggest this paint job for solid colors (non metallic) or on vehicles that may need to be painted again in the near future (taxies, teenager's first car, etc.). This may also make sense for vehicles reaching the end of their useful life but need to look acceptable for a few more years.
BETTER - Single-Stage Urethane - Sherwin Williams Dimension(R) is a perfect paint for the majority of complete repaints we see come through our doors. The chemical makeup of this Urethane paint provides a durable finish even when subjected to the hot Oklahoma Summers, road salt from the Winters, and soaps and other chemicals that can shorten the life of a car's finish. This paint is great for metallic paints that tend to oxidize quicker than solid paints.
BEST - Basecoat/Clearcoat Urethane - Sherwin Williams Ultrabase 7000(R) it the top of the line finish that we use on all our late model collision repairs. It meets or exceeds the quality of the high-tech finishes available on today's new cars. This paint is perfect for late model cars needing a complete repaint, antique or collector cars, and high-end sports and luxury cars. This paint service includes two to four coats of base color and a separate two to four coats of urethane clear over the basecoat. After drying we wet-sand and polish the surface giving the paint a gorgeous shine.
